Potlucks

OPALGA's monthly potluck is held on the 2nd Friday of each month at 7PM in a member's private home. The potluck is our longest running tradition, and provides a great opportunity to connect with others in the community. Please bring a dish to share, and if it is your first time attending, please let the host know so we can introduce you to others.

Upcoming Potlucks

To Host A Potluck

Hosts are expected to provide the following items: Plates, napkins, forks, knives, spoons, hot and cold drinking cups, ice and serving utensils. Optional items include hot plates, cooler(s), soda, coffee, tea, cream and sugar.

  • Alcohol: Hosts are not to provide alcoholic beverages for guests. Please advise guests that if they would like something alcoholic to drink, they should bring it along with their dish to share.
  • Smoking: We ask that you provide a smoke-free area for guests. If you allow smoking in your home, please designate one room or space outside for smoking.

Potluck sizes vary, but average from 20-40 people. Potlucks begin at 7:00 P.M. and usually start to break up around 10:00 P.M. As the host, we do not expect you to provide a dish to share, though you are most certainly welcome to, your gift is opening up your home to us.
